
Dr. Matt Rutledge, PT, DPT, OCS
Matt grew up in a small town in northern New York but has live in several places along the east coast, settling down in Chattanooga. He played several sports growing up and was fortunate to continue to play hockey into college.
Matt graduated with his B.S in Sport and Exercise Science from Coastal Carolina University and attended Florida Gulf Coast University for his Doctorate in Physical Therapy graduating in 2017. After graduation, Matt moved to Chattanooga where he worked in an outpatient PT office for nearly 5 years treating a diverse patient population. During that time, he completed an orthopedic residency, and became a board-certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy. He has also had further training in manual therapy, dry needling, and other treatment techniques.
Matt started CrossFit in 2015 while in PT school, and really enjoyed both the competitive and community aspects. Matt is passionate about utilizing similar methodology and principles that CrossFit applies, along with his clinical knowledge to keep people active and improve their performance and function.
In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Emily and dog Finn, hiking/outdoor activities, traveling, and golfing.
